XVI-XVIII Centuries

The antique fund of the University of Valencia has similar characteristes to the rest of the Spanish historical Universities, since the constitution of their collections has followed a common trajectory, with the difference that in Valencia, the fund coming from the expelled jesuits passed on to the Archbishop’s palace.

The collection is of an encyclopedical characteristic, greater weight mainly of the humanistic subjects, which shows the diversity of its sources and the different likings and professions of its many donors.
